Kathy Garrison, diagnosed at age 36, fought and won an intense and difficult battle with Triple Negative Breast Cancer from 1983-1989 .  Kathy, who had a radical mastectomy, chose not to have reconstruction.  One of the difficulties she experienced was finding a comfortable environment with a variety of options for her breast prosthetic and mastectomy bras.  When Kathy was declared cancer fee, she decided she needed to so something.  So she called the 1-800 number on the back of her breast form packaging, and Kathy,with her friend Joanne Evans, started K & J's in 1990.  Joann retired in 2014, and Kathy's daughter Kristin Garrison-Smihal joined the family business.  Kristin is also a cancer survivor, and understands the challenges of early menopause, infertility and learning to live after a young cancer diagnosis.

K & J's has expanded into a full Specialty Durable Medical Equipment provider with two locations.  Our services now include Mastectomy Products, Wigs, Hair Pieces and Head Coverings, the full spectrum of Compression Garments, and this year we added Maternity Items including Breast Pumps, Support Garments and Nursing Bras.  In addition, we've become associated with Meredith Irwin, certified aromatherapist of spOils Wellness, LLC, who provides Wellness Coaching, Aroma-touch sessions, wellness education, and DoTerra Essential Oils out of our locations.
